Terms of Service
Last updated 30 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Linkonz.com for the use of Linkonz. By creating an account you accept them. They are written to be read, so please do.
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and where we process data on your behalf, in our Data Processing Addendum. Both form part of these terms. Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's Services Agreement and Stripe's Privacy Policy, which you accept separately and directly with Stripe.
1. What the service is
Linkonz gives you a single public page that does two things: collects email addresses from your audience, and accepts payments from them. It also gives you tracked links and analytics showing which of your posts produced those sign-ups and payments.
Linkonz does not send email campaigns on your behalf. We collect addresses and let you export them to whatever email tool you already use. If you were expecting a newsletter sender, this is not one.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. Give us an email address you control — sign-in is by emailed link, so whoever controls that inbox controls the account. Tell us promptly at support@linkonz.com if you think someone else has access.
Your page address (your username) is allocated to you while your account is open. We may reclaim one that impersonates someone, infringes a trade mark, or is being squatted, and we will tell you why.
3. Payments from your supporters
This is the part worth understanding properly.
- Payments are taken through your own Stripe account, which you create or connect during setup. Charges are made directly on that account.
- The money is never ours and never passes through us. It lands in your Stripe balance and pays out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. We hold no balance for you, which is why we are not able to freeze, withhold or delay your funds.
- You are the merchant. Refunds, chargebacks, disputes, negative balances and any Stripe risk review are between you and Stripe. We will notify you when we see a refund or dispute, but we cannot act on it for you.
- Stripe's processing fee is deducted from your balance by Stripe, at the rates in your Stripe agreement. That fee is not ours and we do not add to it.
- What you may accept payment for is governed by Stripe's list of restricted businesses, not by a separate policy of ours. If Stripe permits it, so do we.
- You are responsible for your own taxes on what you receive.
4. What we charge
Linkonz takes 0% of your supporters' payments. No commission, no transaction fee, no cut of tips or memberships, on any plan.
Our only charge is the subscription:
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Nothing | Your page, payments, visit counts and conversion rates. Your sign-up form collects without limit, and you can read and export the first 5 email addresses collected |
| Pro | $15/month | Every address you have collected, unlocked and exportable, plus earnings broken down by post, day and platform |
Prices exclude VAT or sales tax where it applies, which is added at checkout. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price of a plan you are on, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
5. The free plan, stated plainly
On the free plan your sign-up form keeps working and every address it collects is stored with its consent record. You can read and export the first 5. Beyond that you will see that the addresses exist, and see them partly masked, but you will not be able to read or export them until you subscribe.
We would rather say this bluntly than have you discover it: on the free plan you may be collecting addresses you cannot yet use.
Two things do not change with your plan. You can remove any contact, including one you cannot read, at any time — and where someone has asked you to delete their data, erase the record outright using the erase control rather than merely removing them. And addresses that stay locked are not kept forever — see the retention section of our Privacy Policy.
Removing a contact does not free up one of your 5 readable slots. The slot stays with the record that took it. This is deliberate: otherwise the limit could be bypassed by removing contacts to reveal the next ones.
6. Subscription and cancellation
A paid plan renews automatically each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, then drop to Free.
If you drop to Free while holding more than 5 contacts, the same rule applies again — the first 5 stay readable and the rest lock. Nothing is deleted by downgrading. Export your list before you cancel if you want a copy.
Payments for the subscription are not refundable except where the law gives you a right to a refund, or where we have got something plainly wrong — in which case ask us at support@linkonz.com and we will deal with it properly.
7. Your page, and your supporters
Everything you put on your page is yours. You give us only the permission we need to host it, display it to your visitors, and show it back to you — a non-exclusive licence that ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for what your page says, including that you have the right to use any photo you upload and that your description of what supporters get is accurate.
When you unlock and export supporter addresses you become an independent controller of that data. That means you are responsible for having your own privacy notice, honouring unsubscribes and erasure requests, and only sending what people signed up for. The Privacy Policy explains this split in full.
8. What you must not do
Do not use Linkonz to: impersonate someone; upload material you have no right to; collect email addresses under a false description of what you will send; import or add addresses that were not given to you through your page; harass anyone; distribute malware; or break the law.
Do not attempt to circumvent the limits of your plan, interfere with the service, or access data belonging to other creators or their supporters.
9. Links and third-party content
The links on your page are chosen by you. We do not review them, check where they lead, or endorse anything at the other end.
We are not responsible for third-party sites, content, products or services reached from your page, or for anything that happens between you or your visitors and those third parties. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and it is for you and your visitors to read them. This applies equally to anything you embed on your page.
We may remove a link that breaks the rules in What you must not do, but we do not monitor links and are under no obligation to look. Keeping your page's links accurate, safe and lawful is your responsibility.
10. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings. Doing so deletes your page, your widgets, your contacts, your tracked links and your analytics from our systems immediately and irreversibly. It does not touch your Stripe account or any money in it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Except where the law requires immediate action or the breach is serious, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a reasonable chance to fix it first. If we close your account other than for a serious breach, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data, and refund any unused part of a subscription you have paid for.
Ending your account with Linkonz does not cancel any recurring payments your supporters have set up. Those live on your Stripe account, and only you can change them.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Linkonz available and working, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not offer a service level guarantee on the free plan. We may change or remove features. If we remove something you rely on from a paid plan, we will give you notice and, if you would rather leave, a pro-rata refund.
12. What we do not promise
Linkonz is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude the terms and warranties that would otherwise be implied into these terms, including satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. If you are a consumer this does not cut down your statutory rights: we still owe you reasonable care and skill, and nothing here changes that.
Three things in particular:
- Analytics are estimates, not accounts. Visit counts, conversion rates and earnings broken down by post, day or platform are our best reading of incomplete data. Several platforms strip the referrer, in-app browsers behave inconsistently, and bot filtering is never exact. Where you need a figure to be right — tax above all — use your Stripe records, not ours.
- We cannot promise an email arrives. Sign-in links and receipts are handed to mail providers we do not control, any of which may delay, filter or reject a message. If a sign-in link does not arrive you can request another.
- We do not promise results. Nothing in Linkonz, or on our website, is a representation that you will collect any particular number of email addresses or earn any particular amount.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer, if you are one, are unaffected.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or indirect losses; and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and £100.
We are not liable for anything Stripe does or fails to do with your money or your Stripe account. That relationship is directly between you and Stripe.
14. If someone brings a claim about your page
If a third party brings a claim against us because of your page — what it says, an image on it, a link on it, what you sold through it, or how you used the email addresses you collected — you agree to cover the losses, costs and reasonable legal fees we incur as a result. The same applies to a claim brought because you broke these terms.
This does not reach anything caused by our own breach or our own negligence, and it does not reach a claim about something we did rather than something you did. If you are a consumer, it applies only so far as the law allows.
If such a claim arrives we will tell you promptly, will not settle it without asking you first, and will hand you the conduct of it if you want to take it on.
15. General
If we change these terms we will email you at least 30 days beforehand, unless the change is required by law or makes things better for you. If you do not accept a change, cancel before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in and may bring proceedings there.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours on notice to you as part of a reorganisation or sale.
